Description: The content of the journals includes: interviews with artists in residence, essays by Headlands' staff, transcripts of public programs, images and ephemera from artists in residence, and more. The journals also document the grounding and inspirational force of the 13,000 acres of wild coastal hills and valleys that surround Center and illustrates the original staff, artists, and board members' goal to create an organization that better understands the interdependence of place, community and art. 

This journal focuses on the programming that took place in 1993, which centered around the theme of sustainability, and work of Headlands' artists in 1993.
